Bank Al-Maghrib held, in partnership with the University of Lausanne (UNIL), the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and the University of Southern California (USC), on October 3 and 4, 2022, in Rabat, a research conference under the theme: «Small Business, Development and Growth».
The event brought together experts from Moroccan and foreign academic circles as well as officials from national and international organizations. Participants examined the challenges facing small businesses in emerging and developing countries particularly with respect to the labor market, productivity and management practices. Discussions also focused on the role of small businesses in innovation and job creation with an emphasis on the key strategic drivers of small businesses’ growth and development.
