Moroccan MSME's Observatory has just published a sectoral notebook of companies operating in the non-agricultural and non-financial market sectors for the years 2019 and 2020.
This publication is part of the Observatory's mission to produce statistics and indicators on the national productive fabric, says the Moroccan MSME's Observatory in a statement.
Presenting first a structural view of the various sectors of the productive system, this booklet includes sectoral sheets offering a more detailed diagnosis, down to the level of sub-branches and activities of the Moroccan Nomenclature of Activities (NMA 2010), thus representing a decision-making tool for the development of public policies in favor of the various sectors, but also for investors and researchers.
These data sheets shed light on topics that cut across all sectors of activity, including the number of companies operating in the sector, the number of employees, and the sales revenue generated. Where data is available, these data sheets also include the value added and investments of the sector.
Based on the Observatory's consolidated database, which includes data from several sources (Directorate General of Taxes, Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property, National Social Security Fund, Bank Al-Maghrib, Ministry of Industry and Trade), the sectoral data sheets presented in this booklet cover 431,811 companies operating in the above-mentioned sectors.
