The Moroccan SMEs Observatory participated in the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) Global Policy Forum (GPF) 2023, recognized as the world's leading event on FinancialInclusion, held in Manila, Philippines (12-15 September). Dr Idrissi Amal, our Executive Director, joined over 700 global policymakers, regulators, and AFI development partners at the event. She took part in the work of AFI during the SME Finance Working Group (SMEFWG).
In a rapidly evolving global context encompassing socio-economic, geopolitical, and environmental changes, this year's GPF prominently highlighted the convergence of inclusion, stability, and sustainability.
The event brought together central banks, treasury departments, financial supervisory authorities, standard setters, international organizations, financial service providers, technology companies, mobile network operators, payment platforms, researchers, and technical experts.
Over the course of four days, participants engaged in high-level dialogue and peer-to-peer exchange, to explore innovative approaches to improving and developing of national financial inclusion strategies and policies.
